it was the drivers side cable that popped the trunk.

On a side note, is this a specific asc solenoid?

Cool! I'll give that a shot when I get home. I thought that was for the tonneau release, I never noticed one on the passenger side box.

On my 86 convertible, there is no key lock for the trunk, just a popper.
I've tested power, it is running through the push button popper but the solenoid in the trunk is not popping - I'm locked out. ...

I pulled down the top today, my pull down motor does run, but it does not move.

I have my car at a convertible top place, I knew the top needed to be adjusted so I've never put it down yet.
The switch in the back that shows an up/down arrow is basically just solenoid trunk pop ...

Keep in mind most of the Ford parts are from the hatchback model not the convertible. The a pillars appear to be cut off and attached with paper based double sided tape at the top. Likely 79-86 to m ...

The part shown is a stock for part. Used by Ford 83-88 verts. I believe. I always see them on eBay from somebody. Asc used the stock part.
