From what I remember the cars were ordered black unless a blue interior was needed. Ford's ordering system would choke on Black/Blue combo so those cars were ordered in white instead |

Did they use T-Bird Seats or just the Headrests?

The 87-88 Turbo Coupe coupe had blue sport seats. If they procured the headrests, why not the whole seat? |

Cougar? It had a formal roof line which would have been an easy conversion.
Merkur XR4Ti could have been another option, but its quirky styling may have not made for an attractive convertible.

It would have had to been a very, very early 86 since I quit that job in June of 1985. My guess is it was and 84 or 85 that someone bought back East and brought it to the Seattle area when it wasn't ... |
