Hello All,
I see the discussion going on about the 2000 mile capri on ebay. Per my feedback on ebay you can all see I was upset. Anyone who know's anything about the history of this car let me know. I can say the there was somekind of repair to the drivers door and the drivers side was repainted. I put the car on jacks. The underside cleaned up nice. Every component of the underside looks new / original. (there was some overspray on the drivers side exhaust pipes). However, I am not happy that the car was described as all original paint and no body work. I have contacted ebay for help. The owner has not returned any of my calls and claims he knows nothing about bodywork / Paint. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I will be taking off the door panel to see what lies underneath the repaint. Ill let you all know

If there was an accident....there was most likely a police report.
You might be able to contact the state it was in and see if there are any records of an accident for that car.
Then again...if there was a report, it would probably show on Carfax.

None of this surprises me, after nearly 30 years in the retail car business.
Customers would routinely bring trades with them, that when we ran checks, we'd find accident reports, Police Reports, overspray on radiators, and frequently color-keyed tailpipes!
The owners claiming they bought them new, yet the title showed THAT customer to be the 4th or 5th owner! We'd check VINS. The VIN stated the Dodge Dart was a 6 Cyl. It was now wearing a 318 V8
They thought that they could fool us. They had as much of a chance as you guys have trying to fool your accountant.
Things are a world better these days, in the showroom, thanks to laws and regulations. But, the sale of used cars between private parties, is...well.....NO PARTY at all. Still shades of the old wild west.
Buyer or seller is in the middle

I agree. If the car looks straight and all, it's probably an alignment problem or a hung caliper.plumkrazy wrote:Welcome

Sorry to hear that your New Capri was not as stated.
The Pull problem should be easy to fix. It could be a Caliper, tire or just a Alignment problem. All should be a easy fix.
