I have only seen cars with them in beige, grey or red. Does anyone on here have a car that actually came from ascMcLaren wearing a blue one? My car is Azura Blue, with Dark Blue top and Crystal Blue/Dark Regatta Blue interior & my Tonneau Cover is grey. Others I've seen are the same. Anybody's car got a blue one ??

Okay...so I guess they came in blue. Why isn't mine blue? How come all the other blue cars I've seen have beige or grey ??

I wonder if it was hit or miss, or if there was some code to what cars get what color?

Are any of your cars blue interior. Maybe they tried to match the blue interior with a blue cover (Just a thought).

My blue car has blue interior & a blue roof.
I've seen many other blue cars, and all have had the grey tonneau, however, there are pictures on here of white cars with blue top & blue interior, and they have a blue tonneau applique!! However, my car is a 1990 and for 1990 they altered the blue interior. 1984-1989 it was Medium & Dark Regatta blue and for 1990 it was Crystal Blue & Dark Regatta Blue. The Crystal Blue is 50% light grey & 50% Light Blue, actually a light greyish-blue and 2 toned with the prior Dark Regatta Blue, so maybe that's why they gave it a Gray Tonneau applique?? !!
I know the tonneaus did NOT come in black or white, THAT'S for sure.
Colors seem to be Light Grey, Dark Blue, Red and Light Beige. They tend to be the same color as the interior.

I suspect you are right. The blue in my interior matches the blue cover. And also it "goes" with the paint on the outside of the car. White and Silver looks "OK" with the blue. The color of blue that is one mine would "clash" with the blue that is on the outside of your car.

Here's the Crystal Blue/Dark Regatta Blue of 1990. You'll see that it's not the same as the 1984-1989 Medium & Dark Regatta Blue.

Also changed for 1990 was the gray. 1987 to 1989 was called Light & Medium Gray, while the 1990 was called Light & Medium Titanium Gray.

The Scarlet was retained, the Sand Beige was killed off, and Ebony Black along with Oxford White were added.

These changes were all from FoMoCo ~ not from ascMcLaren.

Here's the blue from 1987 thru 1989:-

Which body-paint blue? Paris Blue or Azura Blue? Look on UNDERside of trunk lid to view sticker from SIKKENS.

It's FA87 : OT Azura Blue ... painted 7/89 no red decals

(I was first owner .. ASC exported to Australia -- ASC Australia -- who used as a show car then I bought it after they had sold the others and McLaren and Ford parted ways in 90/91 - so there was to be no more..they put it for sale on consignment at a dealer on Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia where I bought it.

Who was the owner of record when she was converted to right hand drive? ASC America, or ASC Australia or yourself? I used to belong to the very active Mustang Club of Australia, (1 year) of course being in the states (New Jersey) it didn't make much sence, but I did develop a couple of friendships over the miles, via letters (pre-computers). Somewhere in this house I have drink coasters and place mats from MCA (Mustang Club of Australia Very Happy Also had contact with ascMcLaren (1999) owners (2) in New Zealand, BOTH owning Paris Blue examples. Strange, since only 8 were made in color & 2 are in N.Z.

The compliance plate says ASC Australia Pty Ltd did (or paid for) the RHD conversion ...they were the importer and I bought it already RHD with less than 200 miles and it had never been registered -- had been used as a celebrity show car for parades and at car shows... then I bought it.
