Hey all, money is tight and priorities have changed for a bit, and I have resorted to sell off some things I thought I would never sell.

I have collected several sets of wheels over the years while redoing my McLaren's and have some orange sets left over, also one set that used to be orange but are pretty much stripped and look silver. In any case, all sets would need to be refurbished for a show car.

I would like to get 350 per set plus shipping. I have some pics I will try to post at this time.

PM or email me if at all interested, as I can get more pics if need be.

That 2nd or 3rd orange one might be one that I have given away due to it having a good bend. In any case, I have two sets of the orange. It has been a while since I dug them out, so I might check them out tomorrow to see what all I have.

You're like me.

Crap just seems to find its way to my door.

I have 10 ascMcLaren wheels..and 1 car..good lord.

BTW, post the "Type" of wheels they are. Early ones had outside mounting center caps and later ones had center caps that mounted from the inside.

"TYP-34F" are the early ones with outside mounting center caps. I don't know what the code on the other ones are.

Yeah, it's crazy, I am a total pack rat when it comes to McLaren's. I have to have at least a duplicate (sometimes more) of everything before I am satisfied. I paid through the nose on a lot of parts (including the wheels) thinking that they are going to be harder to find down the road when I really need them. However, when I realize that I have no need for 2 or 3 extra sets of wheels, that is when I just have count my losses and call it a day.

As for the wheel types, I will find out. I made a website a few years ago categorizing all of my wheels and their types as well as what center caps they took. I even have a set of black wheels that we (Sandy mostly) established were not supposed to have come in whatever style. Anyways, I will try and dig something up on that.

No, No. They might have been available in that color from the manufacturer ~ but they were not used on our cars.
Anthracite
Orange
Silver
White. The white & the silver were not "machined" and had NO silver on them, just pure paint color. The orange were machined, and theanthracite were actuall medium gray, machined.

Ah, that was it. I had it in my head that they weren't correct for these cars. Makes perfect sense with what I have seen through the years.

Were the Paris blue wheels completely painted, or were they machined? I have a pic of the one I saw but can't find it right now.

The blue wheels were unique. The center section, (the 'spokes') were solid blue, nothing was machined.....solid blue, while the rim that encircled them and also sat against the rubber tire, was machined silver. Even the center "hub" that housed the ascMcLaren plastic disc was blue.

Now, it was not Paris Blue, as it was darker than that, and it was not Atlantic Blue as it was lighter in color than that. However....it was only used on the Paris Blue cars, or which there were a mere 12 made !! (wearing 48 of these wheels) ~

What IT DID match was the lower two-tone. What? Two-Tone? Yes, the Paris Blue cars were two-toned! The lower (lowest) area (under the side moulding, under the rub strip on the front & rear bumpers) was a darker shade of blue.....NO, NOT Atlantic BLue, a darker shade of Paris Blue !

Now, where did Paris Blue come from ??? It was a color (same name, by the way) on the 1985/1986 Merkur XR4Ti, sold by Mercury. All 12 Paris Blues came with the Regatta Blue interior and the Atlantic Blue roof.

I'll post links to a Paris Blue example I found in HOLLAND, many, many years ago!

I finally went and got the numbers off of the wheels. The orange wheels are TYP 34F's while the sanded wheels are TYP 1734F's. I got new pics of all the wheels as well. Let me know if you are interested.
