I have Serial 86-0209 which is a red convertible and I need to sell it due to recent illness. It has 63,600 miles on it and looks pretty good, I have pictures that can be emailed. I can not figure out how to post my pictures, computer illiterate and tired of trying. Is in need of a heater core, and possibly torque converter (she goes into a shimey/shake at times), cassette player eats tapes, the tan top is showing some wear and will leak around the window molding, the steering wheel is worn at the 12 o'clock position, tomorrow it will be in the shop for break work so that won't be a problem and of course the dreaded latch comes out of the boot but the boot does work. I had to borrow money against it (due to illness) so it does not have a clear title (lein is held by my employers credit union and shouldn't be a problem clearing). I hate to see it go, I need to get out of the debt. Will be asking $6500. One more thing front tires are getting slick. Car is located in Western Kentucky and I bought it from my best friend about 3 yrs ago, they had owned it since 89. I believe I am the 3rd owner. Hope someone would like to be the 4th, she is beautiful and gets a lot of looks and the ? I love to here the most is "What is That", makes me grin. I think it list for $8900 if in perfect condition. |

The car looks to be in fine shape. I hope that you are able to find a good owner for it. _________________ Robert

There is alot RIGHT with that car, and very little wrong. Cosmeticly,a new top (from Hank) and the driver's side headlight cover, should do it.
The little stuff that is always missing....is all there. (Peter Muscat side coachbuilder plaque - Grille Emblem - Wheel Centers - Bumper-Body-Bumper Pin Stripe; that kinda little stuff....... _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

yes it was repainted by the previous owner Doug Wolfe 270-821-6966, a local man named Jerry Niswonger 270-824-0403 did the excellent job! I have noticed that the original paint under the hood has a more of an orange/red color, the only paperwork I have about the paint job is a piece of paper showing PPG Deltron DAU Acrylic Urethane 1 Quart DAU72884***K Bright Red.
On 9-24-99 new light tan carpet, light tan seat upholstery, and electric motor ( I assume the motor was for the boot) installed by Pro-Trim Unpholster & Glass 270-821-6555 Ticket No. 7716 for $1046, another excellent job. I have a diagram showing convertible top think it was done around 1999 and Paradise Motors Mr. Hank Hussman 813-920-7544 is written on the diagram. Another ticket dated 3-20-91 is for replace door lock panel on left door, repair speedo cable noise, R&R Instr. cluster, replace speedo head, speedo was reinstalled showing 0 miles a sticker was place under the hood showing mileage was 22,138 the car currently shows 41,607 miles on the speedo so the total miles are 63,745. I have a owner warranty indentification card it is a silver plate with 1MEBP79M7GF615394 23 on the first line and the second line reads 2R FY 12E ET 6. Another card has a plastic plate showing same vin# and the second line says 61D2R 03F A P 70796. Owners signature on this card is Thomas A. Hughes Ft Lauderdale, FL. Purchased new from Fort Lauderdale Lincoln-Mercury 12-19-86. Work performed by Sharkey's Westside Service 270-821-3995 that I have had done...3-19-02 ticket no 45082 check oil leak- drain oil - replace oil level sensor inside oil pan-replace oil drain plug gasket-clean off underneath as best could. Check brakes pedal real low- R&R wheels to inspect-removed front rotors & rear drums to resurface-replace front pads & rear shoes & pack wheel bearings. $293. 9-20-02 ticket 46824 check brake pedal low - trouble shoot & replace master cylinder & bleed brakes $103. 12-1-4 ticket no 52602 check brakes - right front noise & odor. road test- remove wheels to inspect braking system-brake hoses rotten & caused fluid leak to lock up right front brake-calipers also sticking & rotor ruined-disassemble to replace front brake pads, RF rotor, both hoses & calipers- reassemble add fluid &bleed brakes $258. The shimey/shake I mentioned in an earlier post that someone told me may be a possible torque convertor problem seems to have resolved I drove it about 15 miles this afternoon after I picked it up from Sharkey's and it never did go into a shimey/shake, do you think the shimey/shake was due to the brake problems I just had fixed yesterday or just a coincidence? Would be nice to hear if that was the problem and not the torque convertor. Also I use Amsoil oil filters and Amsoil 100% synthetic oil I also run that in my 86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Pictures of the interior will be taken tomorrow and hopefully posted tomorrow. Sorry about the book I just wrote but thought it maybe of interest to the group.

Lisa, your car really looks nice. I hope that you are able to quickly find someone to buy it for the asking price. It looks like a heck of a deal to me. _________________ Robert
