It seems not too many people saw the value of this weel.
I just got it and the horn pad is PERFECT. A little dirty and musty but NO tears or even scrapes. It'll clean up with some leather cleaner to be perfect. Hank sells new ones for $150.
The wheel itself is not horrible. I wonder if I could get the top area reconditioned. Its got alot of wear at the top and that hole which is fairly small. I wonder if it could be patched.
At worst, its worth $100 as a core. I think I may keep the pad and put the wheel on ebay for somebody to get a core for their SVO or asc.
Anybody need a core?

Looks like mine minus 4-5 wraps of electrical tape in the same area as your worn spot.
50 Resto will referb the wheels

Yeah, I know...and I was almost thinking of getting it done. Then I would have TWO wheels!
But I don't think its worth having $850 tied up in steering wheels. I just hate to use that spiffy NOS one I have in the closet.

NOS? Lucky Guy
It is hard to part with $300 to fix something that functionally is not broken. I still may do it after Christmas. |

It seems like $350 is the going rate for a NOS factory FLM product leather steering wheel.
I paid $365 for a NOS leather wheel a few years ago for my Cougar. Of course it was no longer available from Ford, but I found it sitting on the parts shelf of a FLM dealer in Texas.
When you have a NOS factory leather steering wheel & shifter on your 19 year old car, it makes you feel like you are driving a brand new car again. And you can't put a price on that.
