I'm selling the contour, its been a great car and nothing is wrong with it, but I'm ready for something else.
I just listed it locally, and now here.
$4,500 takes it. Its Black with the midnight blue interior. Only thing that is an issue is the trunk lock cylinder, froze up. So I use the key fob release or the interior floor release for it, not a big deal. I replaced the windshield due to bad stone chips, performance tires in great shape. Power antennae works GREAT! so many don't. Interior is in excellent shape, exterior is pretty clean with a few very minor imperfections that are hard to see. Rims are excellent, no curb rash. Car has every option that was available except for the rear spoiler.
I can provide much more information to anyone interested. _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |

A couple of guys in my local SVT Club have SVT Contours and have always been pleased with them. It is too bad that SVT has devolved into what it is today, such that there is no SVT Focus, Contour or the like.
What will you be getting to replace the trusty Contour? _________________ Robert

I agree, SVT was right on track and now? WTF!
I think there should be an SVT Focus, Fusion, Taurus, &&&&& SVT Lincoln MKZ! Lincoln needs to get with the program, check out what Cadillac has to offer!!!!!!! the XLR, XLR-V, CTS, CTS-V...........Hello? Lincoln, WAKE UP! town car doesn't cut it anymore.......
I'm looking at the Fusion, or a Lincoln LS. We'll see. The Fusion has been out for 3 years now and they STILL do not have a Performance/sport version of it. They do have a "sport" package for '08 that is a start, but have more to do to it to have it compare to a 3 series or IS 350
Anyone see the price of that new Shelby GT500KR???? $80,000! What are they smoking. Way overpriced. _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |

I certainly agree with you about Lincoln needing performance versions of their cars, a la Cadillac. Now that Mercury has stagnated to near-death and it is clear that it will never see a speedy model, it is all the more appropriate that Lincoln get its act together.
Oh well. _________________ Robert

Does it still look as good as it does in those photos? What kind of gas mileage are you getting? _________________ Robert

Yes, it does. It does have some minor stone chips on the hood.
My mileage has been averaging between 26-27, I'd say probably 80% is highway miles. _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |

Impressive. I would think that it would be easy to move in that condition and at that price. _________________ Robert

Thanks. I think its priced pretty fair given the market, and its condition. Its been a great go to work car and much better mileage than my truck! _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |
