yes, talking Mustangs.

PDL were an option on the ascMcLaren Coupes, as well as Automatic, T-Top, Pop Up Manual Sun Roof, Speed Control (dealers advised NOT to order Speed Control as the pictured ascMcLaren steering wheel would not be included.)

Let me EDIT that. Auto Trans was NOT available in 1984/1985, COUPES! It became an ascMcLaren OPTION for 1986, on the Coupes. 9 were ordered & made. Mine is 1 of those 9. 9 outta 114 1986 COUPES. Many Many more had PDLs' and T-Tops, than 9.

Sandy, what was the comparison between t-tops and manual sunroofs? Also I thought pdl and pw were part of the same package? I wasnt sure they can actually break up packages down to specific items.

Back to the steering wheels, Saleen had circumvented this problem by adding the cruise control unit on from the backside of the sportier wheel with a bracket. I always thought it was silly having cruise control with a 5 spd imo.

Hi guys, I don't want to be a bugger with that but as you were talking about a/c I have a car with NO FACTORY A/C. It's not a mustang but a 86 capri.

Sandy compare those 2 body tags. They are identical except mine does not have the A/C stamped. Maybe that is why it has dealer installed A/C.

This is getting like the old game of "telephone"
Let me try & fix this, before it goes sour.

1. Power Windows were Standard on 84 85 86 Capri
2. Power Door Locks were OPTIONAL
3. Remember, those stand alone, single VINS that I listed for 1988s are the ONLY stand alone CONVERTIBLE MUSTANG ascMcLAREN VINS. I was told that they were "special" ~ but the guy had not a clue as to who, why or what. I kinda figured out that they might be Non-A/C cars. Why? Because all ascMcLaren Mustangs were spec ordered with A/C. HOWEVER, if one duplicated item-for-item option-wise, and OMITTED A/C a person could get a Non Air 87 88 89 or 90.

Now, recall, it was a small # - I think it was 8...or 7 such cars.
IF IF IF I could find one..just one..... I would check to see if his VIN was in fact 1 of the 7 stand alone VINS. If so, I have indeed figured it out.

HERE AGAIN ARE THE ONLY STAND ALONE MUSTANG MC LAREN VINS, NOT BATCH BUILT

163,537
193,591
204,295
204,376
204,400
279,637
279,642
LOOK AND SEE IF ANYONE ON HERE HAS ONE OF THESE.

On the later Capris, the PW were standard because it was included in a power option package (can't remember the name). Power locks were not in that package.

But the Mustang didn't get standard PW because they didn't get the included upgrade package.

Nope. Nothing but their last 6 digit VINs. :x
asc McLaren recieved but 1 order for the $806.00 "Special Color Paint" ~ so it's not that. I was thinking, it could have been EXPORT !! It could be my 1st guess, that being NO A/C, or Heaven knows...what else.

Maybe NO A/C ship to middle East ?? ?? :shrug

I REALLY want to know.....

Sandy I think I may have figured it out. Maybe it was for the Piranha, same exact number of production too. But then again wouldn't you have some of the vin numbers for the Piranha? And if so what were they? Thanks.
