And I thought it was cold here this morning. It was about 28 degrees when I took my 8 week old Rottweiler pup out to potty this morning. It's supposed to be 65 degrees by Christmas day though.
Happy Holidays !!! |

Do you want to hear something about cold winter weather?
It is not cold if you have warmer weather than -30C (-22F)
After -40F you dont care about cold weather anymore. You only going to stay alive |

I think it hit 30 degrees (F) last night. We might not even hit 40 today!
People are starting to get very cranky down here!

I LOVE JEEPS
Neighbor to the right, has 2006 Nissan Altima. Has driveway commercially plowed. Comes out & tried to start Nissan. It will not start! She tries it again & again, finally killing the battery.
Neighbor to the left has Saturn SUV - like 2 years old, I forget the model name. It's 4WD. Starts Saturn, backs out & gets stuck in street, pronto!
Neighbor on other side if Saturn has Mitsubishi Diamante, the final year for the Diamante, I think 2005. Comes out to go, Mitsu farts & dies IN the driveway.
I come out to my wife's 8 year old (2001) 55,000 mile small original Cherokee (Limited 4X4 Wagon) and she starts, I let her idle for 5 minutes, put her into 4WD and reverse, back out into street that looks like the surface of the moon, stop dead, place trannny in low gear, 4WD engaged, and drive away as I would do in July ! What Snow? What ice ?
Original brakes. Original everything, except battery Killer heated seats & heater. IF I bought a new car, it would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Edition. They are terrific !!! _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

My 1997 Jeep Cherokee 2-door 4wd
-radiator leaks
-diffs leak
-engine and tranny both leak
-header cracked
-exhaust rusted badly
-needs a tune-up
-needs shocks
-has 140k miles
-door trim came loose and door wouldn't open this week so I ripped it off
-many other small problems
And yet...This thing drives down the road and in the snow like no other 12 year old vehicle I've owned. It's amazing. Sandy yours is just barely broken in. _________________ Tom S.

I agree, we have had -32F (-36C) twice last week. And winter is still young. We should get those -40 in mid january. _________________ 87 Ferrari Mondial 3.2 cabriolet(sold)

Tom, I entered it a car show in August. 5 people asked me who repainted the car,as it looked so terrific. When I told them nobody repainted the Jeep and it was the factory applied paint, they were speeechless. Then one said that he did not believe me, 'cause there was not a single door ding or scrape on the entire car. I told him, that is correct. Ya, it's THAT nice.. "as new" ~
yet 51,000 miles and 8 years old. Just alot of care and parking in THE least diserable parking space in any shopping center. Right now, it is filthy, due to the 5 inch showstorm and tons of salt spreadon the roads, and being splashed. But....it will be clean again....someday....
My N.J. License plate is "JEEP" on the vehicle. _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

Back in 1981 I worked in Rankin Inlet which is on the Hudson Bay River and it was -55F and the wind was blowing at 65 mph. They said the river was frozen 5 miles out. This was in January. _________________ Zeke 86 Eurocoupe |
