I called a place here in Charlotte and I started asking them how they were going to refinish it and got cold feet....they were a little iffy on exactly how to do it....plus I needed to provide correct paint code, etc....Hank at least has that stuff already down. Turn around time was pretty fast too.

If anybody does go elsewhere, take a nice big color printout of the wheel I posted so they can get it right the first time.

Now that we seen before and after if you don't mind what did you pay for that work? Also he replaced the center caps included in that price right? Does he mount original or better spec tires for an additional charge? Thanks!

Mike - Hank did a phenomenal job. They look damn near perfect to me. Love those before/after pics, they really tell the story.

I for one would pay more $$ to be sure that the job is done right. I'd be much more inclined to experiment w/ having a local shop refinish the wheels on my wifes Mazda (if they needed it) than I would w/ my SC.

No, the center caps were not part of the deal. The tires were mounted at home to save on shipping....but I'm sure if you want to pay for shipping they could be balanced at the refinisher. Almost all that I contacted had the ability to do that.

Unfortunately Hank told me not to say how much it cost me...I think he gave me a bit of a deal....and I probably made out much better than he expected as I sent him 6 wheels to be refinished and only 4 were workable. The other two were tweaked from the center and they were not able to be straightened (I told him 2 were in really rough shape). Hank did not charge me anything for those two. Also, two of my wheels, I had purchased from Hank a loooooong time ago. They were structurally perfect but I got them cheap as they were painted incorrectly. He charged me less to have those redone.
