Red car, 5 peed, mostly all original, has had 1 repaint, needs top and missing original stereo. I have no clue what it is worth, have not seen the car in person yet, he will not be home for a few days.

Any Idea what it is worth??

Gotta see it
drive it

I'll pass this on to you.....

After 27 years in the car business, as a new car salesman
and later owned my own used car lot, one will find that a good car is seldom cheap and a cheap car is seldom good!
and it usually pays off in the long run to go the extra mile, pricr-wise, because once YOU own it - you're gonna find out more than you THOUGHT you knew when you when you handed over your coins !!

Do not "knock" a man's car. Simply say that the price you offered is all YOU can afford. Knocking his CAR is the same as making fun of his wife!

Compliment his car and point out the things that YOU have to pay for to make it ORIGINAL again.

Remember this.... If the exterior & interior are in rough condition, more than likely, the things that you can't see are also in rough condition. Which would be the tranny, rear end & motor. Not Always..... but more than you might think.

And if you turn the radio on and it plays Heavy Metal, the oil's never been changed and the tranny is probably on it's last legs!

Ok guys, I am big into Mustangs, Owned at least 200 Or so. I guess you misunderstood. I know it is hard to price a car without seeing it. But based on opinions! What would one be worth?

I know it is the First year of production, only 50 Verts built, and not many had 5 speeds in them. So I know they are rare, Just trying to see what the market is on these cars. Looking at some of the last sales on some of them. The market seems to Low on these cars just ltrying to find a base line.

The 84 asc verts are rare but they don't have the desirable power plant. So they kind of seem to stay in line with the 85-86 prices.

I purchased my '84 in the low 3000 range. Automatic, probably gonna change both fuel pumps soon and the throttle position sensor is a little "off". Also the top is pretty ugly and needs replacement.

I was very happy with my purchase, and knew it need some work when I got it. Best part... all original.

Let us know more after you look closer at it.
