It's the second sticker that torks me off. I was at a Mustang show a couple of years back and a local dealer had a couple of new Shelby's on display with an 'Adjusted Market Value' sticker with a $25,000 markup on it. That was almost like paying for both a Mustang GT and the Shelby, but only get to take one home . Rolling Eyes

I still see second stickers on standard cars as well. Anyone paying over sticker is crazy. I am surprised that banks will even finance anything over MSRP.

This is simply not true. You can always ask for a lower price. The manager at a retail store can give you a price break and often does. I have gotten appliances at below list price. I have gotten electronics below list price. The item's cost really needs to be substantial ($500-$1000).

You've just allowed yourself to be trained to not to ask the store if that is the best they can do. On big ticket items, they have wiggle room.
