Hi. My name is Brad. I hope I belong on this site. I just purchased an ascMcLaren, however it is not a Mustang or Capri. It is a 1982 Ford EXP ascMcLaren. As the story goes, Autoweek tested the then new EXP and hated it because it was so underpowered. So Autoweek contacted ascMcLaren to improve the new EXP. They took on the challenge and supercharged it, converted it from a carb to fuel injection, upgraded the interior and put a lot of exterior upgrades on the car. I bought this car because my first car was a 1984 EXP and I have been in love with them ever since. About a year ago, I bought a 1984 EXP Turbo. When I saw this car, I could see the major influence this car had on the Turbo model's styling. Second, I have always liked ascMcLaren Mustangs and Capris but I could not ever afford one back in the day, so this car satisfies both of my passions in one car. Third, I love driving a car that you don't see very often, so this 1 of 1 car fills this need perfectly. It has 15,000 original miles but is in need of a total restoration. It was totally neglected which is just a sin. My plan is to restore it back to new condition as it was tested in autoweek. It will be slow since I will need to save money to pay for each phase. If anyone has any info or documentation for this car, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of someone with Autoweek back issues, I would like to buy this issue. I have a copy of it, but I would like the original. I look forward to meeting everyone here. By the way, sorry the post was so long. I tend to be long winded!LOL. Thanks.

I may have the issue of Autoweek you're looking for. Give me some time and I'll see what I have.

Yes. This is the car I bought. Although I am not sure if it is a car or a huge future headache!LOL If you have the issue, I would love to buy it from you. Thanks for your help and thanks to everyone for the welcomes. I am trying to figure out how to post pictures. Once i figure it out, I will post some. But I must warn you, the car isn't very pretty the way it sits right now.
