Problem is that these were never used on our cars.

At least for the Capris, they were lower profile tires and tough to find now.

Yes, they are available at $325 per tire. Wtf.

While I put nos parts on my car, it's more of a daily driver. I have 3 car now with dried out side walls which will never get worn out. I dont see it as a good long term investment as are nos parts.

I have a contact from the SSP Web site that they can be obtained cheaper. Less than $280.00 a tire.

Well the 20's are off and the stock wheels back on, albeit missing the center caps. I went with the Falkens, and at $77 a tire they will work fine. Tread looks good on it actually, and they are the proper size. Can't wait to take it for a spin to see how much better it rides now compared to those 20's. Does anyone know if there is a comparable center cap that is cheap that I can throw on for now until I can justify the $180 for the proper ones?

Hank, I will be taking it up there for sure now since I have the wheels on. We will be there probably around noon. Still have to clean it up tomorrow morning.

If you have the old center caps, someone made stickers. Which falkens did you get, 512 or 912?

Looks better than i thought it would. My pull down motor has not worked long before it got it. I just used the latch to release it and stick my fingers under it to release it. I think my relays are the problem but have not got around to troubleshoot.

Tires are the 512. My pull down motor is busted in pieces. I am currently looking for a replacement from a caddy.

Thanks for the tip on the caps. Hope to get those! Cleaned up the car today. Man did it need it. Took her up to the Pavillons cruise in Scottsdale and had a blast.

I learned something new about the tire sizes used. Coupe used 225 50 15 and Convertibles used 215 65 15 in 85'.

Car looks great. So glad you're out cruising with it already. Don't forget the pizza cruise Sat Jan 27!
