My car is one of the featured rides over at gDR (www.godragracing.com) The article turned out awesome. Mark (noricehere) did a real nice job.

Hey Mike well deserved! I always loved your car and what you did to it. Did you ever decide on the the light covers? How is your fathers Lx doing too?

Great article Mike. Like everyone else here, I've admired your car for years. You've done an awesome job with it. I hope to build one that nice myself one day. You've set the bar high and helped make a name for the ascMcLaren Capris as performers. |

Dads car is doing just fine. This is the best it's gone with the stock motor and a 125 shot.
However, he's redoing the motor...
Out with the stock in with the modified...

Mike M. what did you do with your original orange wheels ?
I assume since you do not use them ... that you don't like them. Do I assume wrong or right? _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

I think his brake modification doesn't allow him to use the stock wheels.
I think he said he will need to get the wheels machined on the backside to fit.

I did switch then before I got the brakes...I got tired of them...but now I can't put them back on 'cause of the larger brakes. They are in the shed though waiting to be machined to fit and refinished...been too lazy to refinish them though...haha _________________ Mike

I like the wheels you have on, ALOT. Problem is, everytime I look at pictures of the car, my damn brain screams "WRONG WHEELS" ... then the OTHER side of the brain says, "These wheels look good, however" ~ then the other side screams back: "WRONG WHEELS" ~ (Mental conflict) going on ! _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. Your car looks so much cleaner with the light covers imo. As far as wheels go either one is fine by me. In fact that is the one super thing about these cars both Stang and Capri mods have always been welcome in most cases even in rare ones like ours or Saleens. I doubt I would see someone turn either car down cause it has a Super charger or stylish wheels. Just my opinion.

PS Hopefully we can all get together sometime in tri-state area whichever 3 states that is closes to NJ/NY lol. |
