I owned a 2003 Lincoln Towncar with a pull down trunk. Can that motor be used in our McLaren/Capri? _________________ Randy Veach

Randy
The pull down motor in the 1984-86 ASC McLaren is from a 1984-86 Cadillac. You can get one on Amazon in the Automotive section:
Motor with Housing Dorman 747-000 Trunk Lid Pull Down Motor $46.32
Plastic Housing Replacement Plastic Only APDTY 858112 Plastic Housing
$36.78
Hope this Help

There is also a switch on the motor which has a GM part number. I posted it years ago here. _________________ Kevin Gold card MCA Judge for Fox Body

What would the 1989 equivalent be ? I thought it was also from a Cadillac ? Hank has them only for EXCHANGE for US$332 and that is a tad difficult for me in Australia -- easier to BUY one and ship it _________________ 1989 ASC McLaren Vert Blue/Blue/Blue RHD #241 |

Wonderful. So the capri guys can easily get a new one on Amazon for $46, while us Mustang guys have to shell out $332. that's great.
Feel bad for the op, since he doesn't have his original, so florida won't sell him one even at that high price. _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |
