Any one interested in a Black ASC McLaren?

- 13,000 original miles
- garage stored
- only one owner
- Is currently on its second set of tires (100 miles on them)
- top has been down maybe 5x at most (works fine)
- I believe we have all the original paperwork from the day we bought it.

Only has a broken gas gauge.

Pretty much in perfect condition.

Located in Orlando, FL

Why are we selling it? - my grandfather (81) has decided its time to let it go since he can't drive.

Good Morning,

I am not looking forward to the day, hopefully in the distant future, when I have to part with my, as Sandy used to called them, garage art. Couple of questions. Auto or stick? Interior color? Top color? And, what are you looking to get for it?

Sorry, I guess those details would actually be important Smile

http://1drv.ms/1xT0PyA <- Link to the actual pictures I took yesterday.

The car is a stick, maroon interior and black top.

Honestly, I'm still looking around to see what this car is worth. Based on my findings so far, I think $18K is possible but I'm still doing the research. I'm confident we even have the original sales receipt.

The car has only had one owner and keep perfect.

I'll find the maintenance items tonight since it has been recently serviced. We replaced the belts, tires, air... etc. We serviced it at Ford and a local specialist shop to make sure things were ok. If I were to guess, I think $5K was spent to do all the service.

I was able to get very specific detail last night about the car

1) I stand corrected, the top has NEVER been down on the car. We also have the original instructions on how to pull the top down. I guess most people don't have the instructions.

2) As funny as this may sound, we have the original windshield wipers still on the car. There is actually nothing wrong with them.

3) The body/paint is still in its original form. We have never had it polished or even wax put on the car. You can tell from the pictures that its beautiful.

4) We can only remember 2x that the car was actually driven in the rain.

5) Maintenance: Due to the age (27years?) we had the following replaced in the car recently
- Fuel tank
- Fuel pump
- Sending unit
- fuel filter
- New plugs
- All new hoses
- New heater core

Every one of these parts listed above we kept. There appears to be nothing wrong with them so we will give those to you as well.

6) The fuel gauge is not reading correctly. Ford didn't appear to adjust the sending unit correctly so it reads 1/2 full when in fact it is completely empty.

7) We still have the window sticker when we bought the car.

It sounds like a really tip top car. (I can't see the images right now, I'll check when I get home).

$18k is going to be tough to get but maybe possible with the right buyer....but you are probably going to have to hunt for that buyer...and you will have to show that the car is 100% original and perfect. If anything has been changed, the price drops fast on these cars. Perfect Museum quality asc cars are nearly impossible to find.

Hit up all the BIG Mustang web sites. Throw it up on ebay with a high reserve...you might shake out the right person that has the money to appreciate a very low mileage gem.

Everyone here already has a car...or two and most are probably not in the market for another...but there may be a lurker or two that is looking to get one.

Good luck!

-Mike
