Now, I am assuming some of these numbers came off from the parts themselves? Not all look exactly like Ford part numbers.

The ones with longer suffixes look like "Engineering Numbers". Engineering numbers are not, technically, "part numbers". More like "assembly numbers". An assembly might have an overall part number. When you buy parts from Ford...the box has the part number on it. The part inside, especially if it was an assembled part, will have a number on each piece of the assembly that are often very close to the one on the box.

Sometimes the "engineering number" can be found in the Ford Parts reference, but often they only indicate the assembly. The Ford dealer won't know what to do with them.

So what would be useful, is to denote which of these is an actual part number vs. a number found on the part.

If I can find my parts books I might be able to fill in actual part numbers.

The list of parts came from the Parts List provided by Ford. Yes, some of the parts could be engineering numbers or even Factory Assembly Parts which do not exist as service replacements. We can dig into them further to verify the part numbers listed. I'll see what I can find.

This list does not include any ASC supplied parts or parts modified by ASC.

I don't see the SVO style steering wheel listed unless it is disguised. It was probably supplied by ASC as some cars came with a cruise control wheel.

Update:
Going thru the list, I'm not seeing many parts which match up with the Ford Parts Book. The listed number may be just engineering numbers or assembly numbers. I will continue to work thru the list.

4. E5CB-8200-BA Grill: Ford Lists E5CY-8200-A for exc. RS and E5CY-8100-B for RS. Both are Charcoal so ASC repainted it Black.

5. E5ZB-14334-AA Wiring: Ford has no listing but the part number seems close to inside review mirror/dome lamp wiring. Mustang convertible lists E5ZZ-13709-D

6. E4ZB-17700-AA Mirror Assy: Ford lists E5ZZ-17700-A as the Mustang convertible inside review mirror w/dome lamp. This has been replaced by E8ZZ-17700-A. At the very least this should be a suitable replacement.

7. E2ZB-14A335-AB Housing: Ford has no listing but the part number seems close to inside review mirror/dome lamp wiring (14A335).

8. E2ZB-14A443-AB Housing: Ford has no listing but the part number seems close to some type of electrical pin/terminal/block. Possibly a ground wire.

You may want to update the Title to say Capri ASC CONV. or 1985-1986 so as not to be confused with the Mustang ASC Conv.
