The vert dew wipes are the same as the regular mustang. The only difference is the ASC metal trim was painted body color. The easy fix is to remove the metal trim from the new part and install the rubber dew wipe on your old painted metal trim. They seperate pretty easily. NOS ones are very hard to find but repro ones are decent. The repro also only comes in gray trim color and often the metal trim is damaged in shipping.
Remove the mirror and the ASC filler piece at the rear of the door. Put some tape on the door if you need to pry off the trim. _________________ Kevin Gold card MCA Judge for Fox Body

Hi, To the best of my knowledge, and from things I've read. The "dew wipes" on our ASC cars are the same. I guess the reason being, they all started out as hatchbacks. Not to say , I couldn't be wrong . |

HI,...Well I got the answer to this question first hand. Replaced my "dew wipers" on my 'vert. Had to remove the rubber wiper from the new mounts and replace the rubber on the old mounts. It's easy to do, but I've got two new black mounts now , and no place to go. |

I got my repro dew wipes from one of my svo friends. I think they did a bulk buy for the 84-86 svo group. The svo is a hatch back just like the asc started as. The 84-86 asc would be the same. Easy to replace, just remove the mirror first.
The regular must vert dew wipe seems to be much different when I looked at them recently. _________________ Kevin Gold card MCA Judge for Fox Body
