On my 86 convertible, there is no key lock for the trunk, just a popper.
I've tested power, it is running through the push button popper but the solenoid in the trunk is not popping - I'm locked out.
couple that with my broken pull down motor and I have a top that is not going down too (sigh).
So, how do you get into the trunk without the latch popping? |

Pull the cable in the storage box behind the driver's seat, usually, or the cable in the passenger side. The one that doesn't release the trunk is for the tonneau.

Cool! I'll give that a shot when I get home. I thought that was for the tonneau release, I never noticed one on the passenger side box. |

worked! Thanks Mike!
it was the drivers side cable that popped the trunk.
On a side note, is this a specific asc solenoid? |
