What is the closest color to the ASC blue, preferably in engine paint. I ordered a new engine from a builder and he offered me a choice of colors, so I went with orange. My though was, since my car is not one of the blue/orange color schemes, I figured I'd do and orange and blue motor, with the intake/brackets being the blue. Do they make a close spraypaint?

Any "midnight blue" engine paint will be "close enough" I would think.

They have Ford Dark Blue. Looks about right.

Also remember, the Orange and Blue Coupes came in 3 different midnight Blues based on the year. I think 86 was the lightest by a hair.

Yes, as evidenced by my '85 Coupe next to '86 Coupe #001 in Carlisle last summer. Wish I had a photo of the one '84 I saw back in '85. It was almost black it was so dark.
