There are a few mesh type wheels from that era that are very close to ours:

Check out the asc at the bottom...just paint them orange and they would look very close...

I remember them well, the ARE stands for American Racing Equipment, now they go by just American Racing.

www.americanracing.com

I sold quite a few sets of those wheels in the early 90's, they were discontinued about 1995.
You could still get the centercaps new a year or two ago.

Yes & thanks for the assist, those ARE the rims I was thinking of. I made a typo, however. I typed 5 lug & I meant to say 4-lug 16" x 50 series tire they would accept.

L0Oking at the site, they are long gone. Another Idea. Lets go find the MSW site. They did OUR wheels, maybe they have them in 16" ?!?!?!

Mike,

Embarassed Sorry, when I saw that you had the Baer kit on your car I had assumed you had already converted yours to 5-lug. It didn't even occur to me that you had bought their 4-lug kit.

I had already planned on converting to 5-lug because I want to upgrade to SN-95 spindles an such.

lol it's cool...

like i said the wheels are on the back burner at the moment...some day...Smile I'm sure someone can machine them to fit...I know a guy that had his 03 Cobra wheels widened so they have to be able to shave off a bit from the inside of mine...
