I have been to the FFF many times, and it's always a great show. I didn't make it this year, but have had my 79 in the show a few times. They never know where to put the Capris. I've been in a few different groups. Once I was in the Fox Mustang group, once I was in Misc., and the picture below I was in the Mercury group.
Scott... If you have details about an all Mercury car show in CA, please share them with me. I'd love to enter my 79 RS. Thanks.
Mark... Where are you? Ridgecrest, CA? I If so, I work there at China Lake NAWS. My house is in Lemoore, but I work in Ridgecrest.
BTW... I am the guy with a GPIV currently undergoing restoration in SoCal.
Here's shot of my 79 the show a few years ago... I think it was the 2004.

Hey Scott, sweet ride in that 79, it really looks nice. I hope to see the GPIV some day soon. At least pictures of the restore!
Southern California's Annual "Mercury Only" Event, open to all year Mercurys, October 20, 2007 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at LaPalma Park in Anaheim. Parking on the grass, participants choice awards, 50/50 draw and raffle prizes. Pre-reg $15, day of event $20. For info call;
Mike Brown at 818.599.5741 or mikeragtop@yahoo.com
Gary Richards at 951.246.4951 or 1kgr92586@verizon.net
This event will conflict with Bakersfield's Highway 99 Cruise-n-Show, but I am tired of all the earlier model hot rods. I need to put some work into my ASC as the computer went south on my trip down to FFF at Knott's Berry. Barely made it home... |

Scott nice pics. That black ASC's roof looks like its almost a blue or is it just me? Also noticed the Peter Muscat emblem is in the wrong location. Those look like Cobra R wheel's dont they? They seem to be a very popular aftermarket wheel for fox body Stangs. Imo they come in 4 lug as well this way you can swap the originals back on if you have them.

Ok Scott if these pics are from the 2007 FFF you are missing the cool white mclaren
Yeah, i am placing the stripes, chin spoiler and rear spoiler on her car. she told me to get my rims first cause she was tired of me telling everyone that i needed the originals. my plan worked when i started using a sigh
info on the queen mary show is on the beach cities mustang club site. they had trucks and other cars there so i would think you'd be ok. it would be cool to have you there _________________ Mike

Sorry for not posting pictures of your car Mike. But since you had a nice set in the album section here and you were in the middle of putting up the top at FFF do to the drizzle when I snapped pictures, I did not post those from FFF. Your shots are better than the ones I happened to take at FFF, but I can foreward a couple should you desire!
Nick, the ASC is blue/blue/blue. It was also very nice looking, but could have been a repaint as you have noted the emblem is placed wrong. Sandy said #042 might be Atlantic Blue. I thought it was navy blue and have never seen any of the blue ASC's in person before.
Both Mike's (03Mach1) and this blue one were really good looking vehicles. Mike's is awesome with only 19k miles. Although the blue one obviously had some alterations, it was imacculately clean and being well taken care of.
Thanks for the additional info on the Queen Mary Mike. I will keep this show in mind. Unfortunately, I work for a State University and we are in the middle of a multi million dollar Student Administration Sysem conversion which has me out of town about every other week for the next 6 months. It looks like I will be losing vacation time this year and will be working weekends. I will have to wait awhile before making any confirmed plans on car shows. |

Damn, that Atlantic Blue ASC is beautiful!!! Those rims just really set it off, I can't wait to get them on mine, except they'll be 4 lug! _________________ 1988 ASC McLaren #688 |

Ok is it black or blue? lol... It looks to be the deepest blue I ever saw a McLaren before if so. Sort of like a midnight blue. Very nice pics and cars once again.

It's blue.
I spoke with the owner and he said that it's a 6 year old repaint. He says he doesn't drive it too much.
Here are a few shots of Mike's car.
I'm not sure why these are soooo big, but they do show that Mike's car is very clean and straight.
If you look closely, you can see the top and part of the front of the blue McLaren in the background of the first picture
I'm the guy with the wheels for sale (gold in color, not white, sorry)

Bryan, did you give me your card? Thanks for posting the pics i'll put some that i have in my album for all to see.
Despite where my hand was i am JUST pulling up my pants guys, really.....
So what does anyone think about painting gold rims white? i am real leary about doing this, but the originals from huisman are so expensive, what to do....
i also think that you did tell me they were gold. what kind of condition are they in? Curb checked etc.. if you can- post some pics of them.
Scott, no big deal i was just giving you a hard time about the pics _________________ Mike

I did give you my card.
I piled all of my McLaren take off stuff at my dad's house so I haven't seen my wheels in a long time. I 'll have to get my dad to take some pics of them for you.
I was going to say something about your hand there, but I decided to keep your identity private....... _________________ '06 Z4M Roadster
