another thing you are going to need to watch out for with a new diesel is the new fuel they take. the new fuel is like ultra low sulfer with 500ppm sulfur. not all gas stations sell diesel and if they do not all have the ultra low sulfer stuff _________________ ~Peter

Diesel is the way to go..... It's the short term fuel of the future for this country.
Honestly I had one of the low sulfur content turbo diesel cars for 6 months when I lived in Europe in 2004, and I loved it. No real diesel smell... Car was amazing.
Plus, gas costs 3x diesel in europe. I see that trend coming to this country in the near future. |

Well after checking out the prices of the new diesels with the options I want, it looks like I will be in the used truck market. Probably stick with the ford. New ones are just too expensive. Love to buy a used diesel and trailer combo but trying to be careful not to buy someone elses headache.
The f-150 is the perfect size for an everyday driver (walmart parking lots), but I dont think the suspension will handle the wieght of an enclosed trailer with car, not to mention the brakes. I'll try to find some literature on the new f-150. Thanks for all the input thus far. Really appreciate it. _________________ Mike
