Hey guys, long time no post, sorry about that. Had a pretty nutso summer with work, but now my slower season has begun. One thing I had worked on last year was collecting up enough ASC wheels to put onto the GPIV. I know they are not correct, I just really felt they fit the ASC theme of the the car. These wheels were all colected up, one at a time, so been a long process, had to buy 7 wheels, just to find 4 that were decent enough, I probably should just have stepped up to a new set to begin with, =) chris

Very sharp. They match up quite nicely. Now remind me, what wheels did it have previously? _________________ Robert

actually that one has been re-painted and re-stickered a few years back.
but in great shape none the less.
i would have to say the best preserved original gp4 (located) would have to be the prototype or car 615388. _________________ Jason Ringuette

Thanks for the compliments guys. David did a great job looking after it and I think it has only spent one night outside since I have owned, the night I drove it home to FL from MI. Had a blast driving it last weekend, as it had not been out in months, what a fun car and I must say, the best running stock, non-EFI I have ever had. Really enjoying the car!
Hey Mark, are you not sure you read my mind for what I would do with my wheel in the future? LOL

I wanted to ask a question relative to the note about my GP being one of the better preserved. Were these cars simply not looked after or something? While I have known of the cars, my daily activity with them did not exist till I bought mine. Just made me curious if maybe they were over abused, raced, or just let to rot or something?
Cheers,

Neglected due to no one knowing what they are.
Its a good thing that they have been falling into people's hands who know what they are and hopefully will now be looked after.

yea, I got to agree with you on the worst roads part. I never really drove much on MI roads till the Dearborn Centenital event. I drove and had another of my Aussie Falcon's driven all the way from FL to MI. Man, the cars were loosing pieces off them going down those roads and I remember it was like instant once we crossed in from Ohio. lol
Man, how do you guys deal with those roads? haha
Would you say the web site registry is pretty complete or do you think there are more cars out there stored away? I doubt lurking as by now with the number of members of various forums I would have to think most have been found, but you never know. We occassionally come across an Aussie Ford none of the US owners were aware of, but that is pretty darn rare.
Cheers,

Chris,
Glad you are looking after the ole gal! She looks great! I miss driving the car, people would about break their neck to look at it!
Thanks for the help with my new purchases.
I miss a Mclaren product in my garage, we'll see if I can do something about that.
