What alarm/ keyless entry device did ASC put on the 88 models. I bought the car with a Baretta system that unocks the dors as well opens the trunk. I guess it also ties into a toggle switch underneath the sterring wheel on the side of my A/C. When i flip it down or up a red light by the side mirror control lights up/off. Can anyone explain this. |

The Illuminated Entry/Keyless Entry System at $353.00 extra cost did not become available until the 1989 models & was continued on the 1990s. No such system was available from either FoMoCo or from ascMcLaren in 1984-1988. The system you describe is an aftermarket one either sold & installed by the selling dealer, or installed by a prior owner. I am unfamiliar with a "Barettea" system as you describe. The one that ascMcLaren installed is made code-alarm systems. They can be found on the web at www.codealarm.com _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
