Can anyone provide information on how to access the seat belt retractor mechanism? I need to tighten the spring somehow to make them retract better. Sometimes I need to jiggle the belt to coax it back in. Other times it doesn't go back in at all. I could'nt find an easy way to access it. |

Save your time & trouble. NONE of them do ! Has nothing to do with the spring. I bought my Blue one brandy new and from day-one it was just as you describe. It's because there was more belt than needed as the original belt came from a different location and needed more belt and the slack you speak of was taken up by the additional length the belt had to travel to THAT location. You'll find that the passenger side works better than the driver's side. That's because the reel location was shorter, thus a smaller length belt. _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012.
