If my Euro doesn't sell.
would people think it would be a bad idea to make a ASC Coupe
with bright green graphics instead of Orange?nothing else would be altered.Because in 86 if I had ordered one I would have at least contacted
McLaren if they could do it.They made different colors I know for the graphics, I am a big fan of the color green.I already have a restored CORRECT Coupe, but I might be stuck with this extra Euro.
If anyone has ever seen a 79-82 Black Capri RS with green decals
they would understand. |

While I am generally in favor of originality whenever possible, something like you suggest isn't as offensive as some of the things that other folks do. It's your car, so do as you like, particularly since you still have an obvious appreciation for the ASCs and have been unable to sell this one. _________________ Robert

Green decals? Go nuts. While your at it, you may as color match the wheels too.
There are a billion worse things you could have mentioned to do with the car....like part it or swap noses or lose the bubble hatch or on and on...
You can contact Hank in Florida. He probably gets the reproduced and can probably just order a set in the color you want.
If green decals will spur you to fix up the car and keep it...go for it!

Is this Euro still for sale? I'm possibly looking for a second one. Yes, I am crazy. Email me with details. I'm in Homewood, not far from you. eric5oh@ameritech.net Thanks _________________ 2018 F150 S'crew

Yes I am more of purist myself I have looked at plenty of Capri changed over to Mustangs parts.I was going to get banned from the new Cougar site (when I had one) because all of these pinheads would put Ford emblems in the place of the Merc emblems.I couldn't stand it.
Do you think Hank would do it?It would make it much easier.[/quote] |
