I have absolutly NO idea! What I had said, in the past was that in the town I grew up in, in New Jersey, USA, there was a small catering business. For medium to small parties of people. It did VERY well, and was very popular with Jewish people, as it was one of very few that was 100
% Kosher. The people qho owned it were "car-people" and always bought something costly & unique. They bought one of these cars from THAT company, I think in Texas......? So, I had said to you that I knew what they were. I have no idea how many were made. I would assume that they would make it in any color a buyer wanted.
The people who bought it, here, near me, are long dead, the business was sold. then failed, and is now the site of an apartment building.

Sorry, can't help ..... I assume you tried contacting that company? I am sure they are out of business.

Are you familiar with Drop Ship? I am unaware of HOW Phaeton obtained their Mercury wagons, for conversion. IF they ordered them directly from a nearby dealer, or if the were able to order direct thru Ford Motor Co. IF they ordered them thru Ford Direct, AS AN AFTERMARKET CONVERTOR, then......Ford Motor Company might have records, but I doubt it. Sorry I cannot assist you any more, w/out knowing how the units were obtained.
Fprd had a special code for McLarens (D32) so, through THAT Ford could tell one how many were made to ascMcLaren Spec. Perhaps Phaeton had the same............... ? Shrug
