I have the same kit as you Mike, and my friend had his 64 Riviera valve covers sand/mediablasted, and loved the look so much that we cleared them using that kit. They turned out perfect with no yellow, and still look perfect to this day (I just looked to make sure). I have seen the yellowing with spray clears before, but luckily haven't had any problems with the PC clear.
I do agree about the smell though. Eventually, when we replaced out appliances, I saved the oven just for that purpose....in case it taints the food, don't know if it did for sure or not. It's just big enough for McLaren wheel. I am going to use it for my gold vert wheels, as it will be easier since they don't have the polished face like the coupe wheels. _________________ 86 Mercury Capri 5.0-201k stock

Nice!! Thats what I wanted to do with my wheels too...I got orange powder but heard that about the clear so I was hesitant...now maybe I'll get started refinishing them... I need to get them machined to clear my brakes though first...
Thanks for the info _________________ Mike

I sent mine to Hank....it was worth every last red cent. They are perfect. No road rash, no scratches, nothing. Straightened and balanced from the inside. 4 little round pieces of perfection.

This is really hysterical, because I am on the Caddy board a little, and some guy talked about not being able to get his wire wheel cover really clean, so this other guy tells that he waits for his Mom to go out and then he pops off two discs & brings them in, & pop 'em in the dishwasher!! Add dish washer detergent and they come out looking like new outta the box! If Mom is gonna be gone fora while, he then does the back two discs! When done, it puts it thru one empty cycle to clean it out.
To this end another guy comes on a day or two later and say he want to report that 1981 Toronado Wire Wheel Discs DO NOT fit in a 1995 Kenmore model XJ-668.
Over here we are baking in ovens.
Hey, anybody got a good use forIroning Boards?? _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

I use the dish washer ALL the time. That is one thing I can get away with.
Liquid Cascade in the green jug works the best.
