I quit cigar smoking, last night at 12 midnight.

I had to. We own & live in our 2-family house. We have wonderful tenants.
They can no longer stand the cigar smoke (smell). They called a meeting with us, via telephone to meet in the 1st floor where they live. That cannot take the smell of the cigars, any longer and If I do not stop, they will be forced to move out.
They pay on time, are quiet, they look-out for the property, have no pets, and report any problems or whatever. They keep their living area flawless and we get along. SOoooo, I am on my 14th hour of no cigar! The only cigar I will have left will be my e-mail address:
cigarsandy Crying or Very sad Owned

Sandy: I quit everything 6-64. Not a misprint. No more cigarettes, cigars ar pipe. No drugs either.

Yesterday at the American Legion they found out my wife is 60 and said she didn't look it. Then my wife asked her how old she though I was. She said 54-56. And I'm 72. Matbe it was the quitting, maybe the genes, but whatever the cause of looking younger than I really am, I thank them/it/whatever!

But I'm still S/F/U/B&E!!!

Short, Fat. Ugly. Bald and Easy!!!

Congrats. Keep up the keeping up.

Day # 2

Well, I smoked cigarettes for many years. I quit cold turkey, like about 12 years ago. The first 2 weeks were difficult, but I made it. Then around the 10th year (2 years ago), I got onto cigars. I never liked cigarettes, it was just a habit. So, it was pretty easy to quit. The cigars are very different. I really enjoy them. I only smoked one @ day, in the evening. I am finding quitting them is pure, uncut, misery Mad
I took the month of June "off" from Chemo infusions. I needed a rest and I needed to cut all of the "residue" Chemo outta me. Each time you retain, I dunno, maybe 10% ? So, it was getting to be too much in me, "left over" and I was getting too dizzy. So, I go back 2 weeks from day before yesterday. I hope by then I have conquered the deep desire for a cigar.
My wife came up with a sure-fire way to quit!
Spend 1 whole day in each car - do not leave the car, only to eat, P & C and come in to sleep.

That should work, but I would think you would get bored and the miles would really rack up. Or you would go thru alot of gas racing the motor Razz

Best of Luck

No No...she meant NOT driving it, just staying IN it !

She know better, than to suggest driving it.

Laughing Actually, I have had the 2 'Verts out, each once this season.
Ditto the 1993 Cadillac 60 Special, who actualy went 40 miles. Only the COUPE has not been out. I am working on that.
The Town Car goes out weekly, and Karen's Jeep Cherokee is out every day. It has 62,000 miles on it. But looks showroom purr-fect.

Here are some photos of the 17-year old Fleetwood 60 Special,
it's deep dark purple metallic, matching roof, new-fallen snow white interior.
She has 10,000 miles on her, in 17 years.

That's funny-You thought Sandy would DRIVE the cars? I didn't think so. That's just his way of enjoying them.

Sandy,

I've had a '67 cadillac convertible. Cost more to own than any car since. Think I repaired or replaced every part on the damn thing. Finally gave up and traded it for a house/garage/boathouse paint job. Last time I saw it, it was sitting in the guys yard with the hood up!

1977 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Brougham. Bought it wholesale for $1400.00 and one of my fellow employees like it so well he offered me $2100.00 for it and I sold it. Nice ride but: It looked flawless until you put Polaroid sunglasses on. Then you could tell the hood and both fenders had been in an acciden and repaired. Repaire well, but not the right paint. Right color but sure showed the difference with those sunglasses!

Been looking for a nice 90-92 Eldorado for a personal use vehicle.
