A Silver one would be rarer at 3 made.

There is at least one more "Capri" that Sandy does not have listed there but I would still consider....and I would consider it the rarest.

Its the 1983/1984 official NHRA Motorsport Capris. There were at least 2 based on pictures I have:

Wouldn't the 86 ASC McLaren SC with the 3.8L be the rarest
Capri....at only eight. Wink

True. I bet Sandy didn't have them on the list since they were not specifically broken out of the 86 run and there is no hard # of how many were made.

That's exactly correct, Mike. No records were kept regarding the engine(s) in cars received for conversion. (I just triple checked). It was a looong wait to get a 1985/86 Capri McLaren Roadster. Took 4 weeks for Dearborn to make & ship to ascMcLaren, and they stayed at ascMcLaren for 3 weeks and an average of 10 days in transit, for a total of close to 9 weeks to arrive at ordering dealership.
I did speak to one owner and he said that he was told "about 8 six cylinder examples were made...." (for what that's worth....)"

I really like that chin spoiler on the 1983/1984 official NHRA Motorsport Capris...very clean looking but definitely more aggressive than stock...cool stuff
