Ok, this document is from Switzerland, from an official Ford dealer "Willy". It says:
"Vorgesehene Standartausrüstung für die Schweiz u.a.:"
---> "Schweiz" is the german name for Switzerland (two third of Switzerland is german speaking, one third is french speaking (Swiss) and 10 percent or what are italian speaking (Svizzera) - there is yet another offical minority language from some mountain people called "romanic" or so...)... (btw: add up the figures and you will find that we are more than 110% people over here in Switzerland 8-O )
Back to the topic: the document looks like these Ford-Willy-guys had put it together by themselves using the information they had from Ford USA or ASC and a typewriter .
The currency is Swiss Francs, not French Francs, so the exchange rate is another than stated in that other post... I will look for it another day, but 65'800.- swissies for the ascMcLaren seems extremly expensive to me:
in 1986 these were some car retail prices in swiss francs:
- Audi Turbo Quattro 67'000
- BMW 745i auto 65'800
- Mercedes-Benz 500 SE 76'800
- Mercedes-Benz 300 SL 66'250
- Mercedes-Benz 420 SL 78'870 (the V8 version of that legendary 2-seater convertible that triggered the ascMcLaren as the legend says...)
- Porsche Carrera convertible 73'500
- Chrysler LeBaron convertible 48'500
- Cadillac Deville Sedan 65'200
It's very nice for me (being swiss) that this swiss document has been found in France in a french ascMcLaren... looks like this car has somehow a relationship to Switzerland, maybe it has been exported from the US to Switzerland and then further on to France... |

Thank you for the clarification.
A little message to say that the Mustang is still in me, and I love it. _________________ '88 ascMcLaren #1268# |
