I bought a new one however cant seem to get my stem out of the old switch. Any Advise?

Got it off.... had to take the stem and the dohicky it sits in. Then whack the other end to disengage the little lip on the stem.

It pulls straight out.

Often the plastic part which cracks pulls off the metal stem.

Just take channel locks or pliers and grab the stem and pull STRAIGHT out.

Yea, Mine didn't want to come out at first and I was afraid of breaking the stem. I tapped it on the ground and it came out.
