Guys,

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I picked up a Mercury McLaren model. A hatchback. It was before I found out they made McLaren hatchbacks (I thought at the time they only made convertibles). I still have the model. I never assembled it. But that got me to thinking. Has there ever been a McLaren convertible model kit, either Capri or Mustang?

If not, would there be any interest in pursuing one. We almost did it for the 93 Cobra, before one of the companies finally produced one.

From my memory there was a convertible Capri model. If I find a link I will gladly post it.

Ok check out this model. It says: Revell #unknown 1/25 - Mustang Convertible - Kit is from 1982. It appears to be a "concept" kit based on the future 1983 Mustang convertible. (discontinued).

Definate concept but it does have the appearance of the ASC MClaren. Hope this helps.
