We had a great day, yesterday. Weather was super, (sunny and 72.) Took out the 25th Anniversary Edition 1990 asc/McLaren and we went cruising. I put on a total of 9 miles. During the 9 mile ride, thre teenage girls shouted to us at a red light 'Nice Car ! The 12 year old who lives nearby came over to oogle it and gave it a double thumbs up.
It was really neat to have the top down.... BUT.... to do it 100-percent
correctly - by the book - it takes about 10 minutes. I was scared to death that the think would fail and the big fat screw would either fail upon releasing to put top dowm... OR .... when putting top up, and having that worm-drive fail. But, as usual, it worked as it should. It was fun to drive it, and the traffic was VERY sparse at 3:00 PM.
On the down side................
I am going into the hospital soon for a stent into my desending colon. It's a 1 hour procedure. I hope to be home the following morning,
God willing. When I recover, OUT COMES AZURA BLU, for her turn.
Mrs. Block loved the car, but, she still favors a small
suv, such as her 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4, now with 72,000 miles.
Everyday, she gets notes left on windshield from folks who want to buy it.
(I do not like it ! It rides like a roller Skate because of the solid axle, and heavy duty suspension. _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
