Yeah but the extra parts don't look painted! Too bad that car isn't white or I'd be all over it... Sad

I looked it up.

1. It *IS* a real one! It's a full packaged one, not a EuroCoupe.
2. I see no exhaust tips poking out from the holes in the rear air valance
3. It's too bad it was finished off with the "Popsicle Orange" tape stripes & rims .... BECAUSE .....

4. This was a "ONE OFF" ! This car originally was "Smoke Charcoal Grey Metallic" with "Raven Black" Stripe Kit, {Upper & Lower} and the "Anthracite" wheels. It was the only such car made, a 1 of 1 is that combination, and .... YES it was indeed an available combination in 1986.
It's 4 units away from mine. My Dash Plaque is # 109. 115 were made as Full Packaged models plus 47 EuroCoupes ~

Sandy,

Doesn't it seem odd that (this is according to his auction) he has had this car for at least 10 years and in that amount of time, he hasn't bothered to contact you about it?
Then he would have known that it was a 1 of 1 and not 1 of 15.
Just seems to me that someone who would have put as much time & effort into restoring a car like this would have at least stumbled across this site by now, although he could be here, but just not a poster.

Shrug

And of course I don't mean any disrespect toward him, just it puzzles me.

Looks like a nice car though.

Brent

It wouldn't be hard to go back and make it 1 of 1. If he bought the wheels from Hank, you might be able to make a deal with him to get the correct wheel. Changing to the Raven Black stripe would be relatively inexpensive....

You need:-
4 Anthracite wheels
An upper & lower stripe kit in black
Black ascMcLaren hatch logo and
black side door logos, also head & taillamp covers

But...where are the exhaust tips ?????? Rolling Eyes

I am listed on so many many sites, that eventually they all find me. Not him, however. For a million dollars, I coud not tell you where all I am listed. I know Brad Barnett & StangNet and my own site and and and and the Mercury one MOAI or something.

Go to Google & put in ascMcLaren & I think I am like in the top 3 or 4, so I guess he never did it ~ there's a few who fall through the cracks.

Lately, I've even been getting PONTIAC Grand Prix Turbo McLaren owners calling me!!

You are on my site as well....

I just Googled "ASC McLaren" and the top 5 results (in order) were:

ASC/McLaren International Registry - Sandy's Site

WELCOME TO ASCMCLAREN.COM - Hank's Site

'84-'90 ASC/McLaren - Marty's Mustang Ranch - My Site

ASC/MCLAREN Vehicle Index of CollectorCarTraderOnline.com - Autotrader's site

eBay - asc Parts Accessories - eBay

Maybe it's good that Ford cancelled the McLaren Lincoln LS that was scheduled a couple of years back.... You'd have those owners too... LOL

Take the space out and this site will be #2 or 3.

For some reason google puts this site on page 4 when you put a space between the asc and McLaren.

Trade the wheels to Hank...for some anthracite wheeles...I bet he would do a swap for a little bit of $$. I bet the guy originally got the orange ones from Hank to begin with.

The black stripe kit comes as all one package so you shouldn't have to buy piecemeal...you can if you want to.

No, that's not correct. Because Oxford White cars did NOT receive the ground effects stripe (360 degrees), they were broken up as the upper tape stripe/decal kit and the lower tape stripe kit.
Everything except the ground effects stripe was included in the upper kit, including 2 ascMcLaren logos (hood & Hatch) as well as 2 for the doors, and the bodyside & rear fascia stripe.

At least, that is how it is shown on my ascMcLaren-issued parts listing.

Colors were: Black, Platinum Silver Metallic, Popsicle Orange.

ahhh but I am correct...as far as ordering from Hank is concerned Wink . When you buy the kit from Hank for $175...you get the whole deal:

That little round roll in the top center of the picture is the lower stripe.
