To put the maximum motorsports supsension on my 86 coupe I need to upgrade to 87 spindles. I'm told I can keep the 4 lugs but will my stock mclaren rims work with the 87 spindles and 11" brakes? Thanks -Ryan

*Edit, for some reason I thought the 87's switched to 5 lug, but just found out it's the 93 cobra, I guess all is well for 87 spindles?*

Ok going to freshen up the brakes too as well, I guess for the 87 spindles easiest is to put on the svo calipers which I believe will work fine with my stock mclaren rims... Someone yell at me if they wont.

I'm sure some folks aren't happy that i'm modifying the car. I intend to keep every stock part and can always go back in the future. I want to drive and enjoy the car in the summer, maybe bring it to woodward next year etc. Smile

I don't have a problem with it. After all, it is your car. If the upgrades are going to make it more enjoyable for you to drive, I say go for it. I'm glad to see you keeping it. Like you said, can always go back to stock if you want.

You need 87 to 93 gt spindles rotors and calipers. Rims will fit right on. Also there's a company that makes rear disc brake set for fox body's. It keeps your stock fox body length axles. Changing the rear to disc brakes makes a big difference. I Have a Maximum motorsports k frame also.
Really good stuff.

I bought a nice set of refurbished spindles of ebay. I'm thinking I'll put the svo calipers on as they're a little better than the 87 calipers and I can get them and the svo master cylinder.

The 4 lug rear disc brakes are from SSBC, will be ordering them next week as well. As of now I'm going to keep the stock kmember and arms.

Try this site I bought most of my stuff for my cars. Also maximum motorsports has a lot of good stuff for the disc brake conversion
