My thoughts exactly. The car has almost no options. Mine's the same colors with every option that was available. Wonder what you could really buy it for? It also has a factory antenna. The 'rubber ducky' antenna was installed on the drivers rear quarter panel on every other one I've seen!

We have a 92 year old friend that buys a new Corvette every year. On his 2014 he put those same type decals on the sides. Looks like crap. His is bright yellow.

PS: 1/4/2015 He just bought new 2015 Corvette and put the same stupid looking decals on it.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate you looking.

I've driven this and wow it's a blast to drive and gets lots of attention!

With only 24,000 miles, its in such great shape.

The decals come off with the heat from a blow-dryer and leave no marks (I took them off another red car my dad had, too).

Still, please pass the word around if you know anyone who's looking for one of these classics.

Monica

You can take them off a lot more safely with a hair dryer!!

The problem is, if they've been on there a long time the paint under it will be a darker color than the rest of the car. Ditto for any plastic pin striping. Take it off a red car and you have 'ghost pinstripes.' And it only takes a couple years. I have a Ford Expedition that's 6 years old now and the pin stripes are lifting off and crumbling at the edges. The paint under them is quite a bit different in color.

I'm sorry but I have done this personally on my car and I take complete issue with this.

Under this vinyl I took off, identical in nature to this, that was on car for 8 years, I got from my dad also, the paint was exactly the same color.

If you looked very closely and knew were to look, in a few places you could see an hint of a line that indicated something had been there.

It took about two hours of patient time, but the result was virtually undetectable and beautiful after a wash and wax.

And a 'blow dryer' is a hair dryer, in lady=lingo, haha.

I would agree with MoStro. If the vehicle has been garage kept, and hasn't spent its life baking in the sun, it should be fine.

This one is sold. I still regret mine sometimes. If I ever buy another one I want Ken's car.

Keep your fingers crossed. I keep saying I should sell it but just can't pull the trigger yet. Getting old but health is good. (76) And it is a blast to drive. Still low miles.

Ken, what is the actual mileage on your car? Is it still as new as it looks in pictures?

23949.0

And yes it looks just like the pictures.

There are a couple little blemishes from the factory where the rear was filled in when the back fenders were done. I think a repair might look worse than the little blemishes. No dents, dings or scratches. Interior great except drivers seat bolster.

Always garaged since I've owned it and I believe even before that. Been rained on twice since 2008.

Have all the owner manuals, top operation, electrical etc. Clean Carfax.

It gets a lot of looks, questions and comments when we take it out.

Thanks Ken, I keep this in mind. I always liked your car since I looked at the pics some years ago. I'll contact you if ever I can buy.
