I had a 3.73 in my '86 the last year it was around. Made 1st unusable. 0-60 was two shifts, not one.

With the 50-series tires, we're picking up some gear (3.08=3.31), so the 3.55 (measured with 60s) would be pretty stiff with that 3.35 First.

Scott Hardwick has 3.27s in his EuroCoupe and says they're perfect with 50s.

Mark,

Pickup Tuesday--delivery guaranteed by 9/21. Title arrived today.

Gotcha. Hope you find a 3.27...I don't see many out there.

It was the standard ratio for AOD 5.0L, so they're around--maybe too plentiful to have at JEGS or Summit, but they're someplace. I have my club friends who do swap meets on the watch. Got all Winter....

I don't think it was an official option but I think a few came through that way.

There is a picture of asc at a show with a model sitting on the roof of what I think is a 1985 asc coupe and she is clearly perched in a sunroof. The banner behind her says 1985.

Mike,

That was also a banner they used at the 1986 Detroit Autorama. I was there. That car looks too light to be a blue '85 which looks almost black in greyscale. Think back to the Autoweek articel.

I think that's a grey '86. I was there and that's what I recall seeing. It's also been MANY years, so I could be wrong.

The car at Autorama that year was grey. I was there, too. That's what convinced me to get my first blue '85, which was a leftover at Krug L/M.

By the way, I wonder WHICH grey '86 Flip Roof Coupe. I owned #23 which fits that description, but curious how many others did as well.
