It's an '85. And a rare 5 Speed if the air cleaner cover is correct.

The trim says 85 like Mike said. You would think an original owner would know what year it was. I don't see the tail pipes to confirm the year,

The first pic of the interior doesn't match the rest of the pics, either.
I was looking for the exhaust, too.

These pictures must have been taken at different times. The badging keeps changing.

As far as the air cleaner cover, what was the difference between 84 and 85? I have an 85 with the 5 speed. The cover was raw aluminum but all the lettering was gone. The one in the picture has the black background but I thought the 85 was just black lettering.

Also - how rare is the 5 speed? I don't think there is any exact number but a good guess would be helpful. I have the 4 barrel and the dual snorkel air box as shown.

84 air cleaner had a black band and the 85's just had the black lettering.

Dunno how rare the 5 speed verts are but the verts were to be touring cars and not performance cars...so they mostly spec'ed automatics for them.

Thanks Mike. I thought I had the correct decal for my 85. I did cheat a little though. The aluminum cover was really beat up and I couldn't find one in good shape. So I put on a chrome cover. It does look cool. Dresses it up a little. Just one of the 2 or 3 things I did to the car that are not stock. I'm pretty much a purist but I do bend the rules on rare occasions.
