|
|
So I was thinking about going to a 5 lug set up and I was seeing what kind of rims were available and came across these on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/201691206734?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Apparently, they are Crown Vic wheels, made in Italy, so I'm thinking that they might be the same manufacturer as our ASC mesh wheels?
They look pretty darn close and there is a shop near me that can refinish them to look just like the ASC wheels. I have Anthracite wheels, so they would look pretty good.
My question is, or questions are: They look like deep dish, I'm thinking they would stick out too far. Has anyone else used these rims? What do you think about them?? _________________ Dan

Those look like the Lincoln LSC BBS wheels that came on my roadster:
except that mine say "BBS" (at 9 o'clock next to the cap).
That's a really good price IMO.

Check the back spacing of both sets of rims and see what the difference is. If you use 94-95 spindles, might not stick out at all. I'm using 96gt spindles and it pushed the wheels out a little, not sure how much. I don't know request the backspacing is of my current wheels. _________________ 1989 Royal Gold Metallic #095 (225Hp)

Thanks for the info! It's just hard to get performance tires in 15" and I like the mesh wheels. I thought I wanted to go with some Cobra 17s but I'm just not in the mood to mess with clearance and a lesser ride.
Do you have any idea if the McLaren center caps will fit those rims? I'm thinking that there may be some other shorter center cap that might fit and just putting the sticker on it? Maybe? _________________ Dan
