Is it me, or is there some design issue with the stock sun visors?? Mine stay up pretty far, but they are straight and point right back at my forehead--and I'm only 5'10"!?

I have an 86 roadster.

So, is there a curved alternative? Like, maybe from another convertible??

I just removed mine. I'm 6'2" and they seemed to block my view no matter what. I made a small plastic block to fill in the hole and painted it.

I can never drive the car without sun glasses and a hat anyway. As for not loosing the hat, get one of the coiled card retainers they give you with a casino club membership and clip it to the headrest. No lost hat.

Hi, Had the same problem. So this was my answer to it. Got another set of visors and cut them in half, length wise. Had them recovered to match. To me this was the best of both worlds. Still had visors and they were no longer in the way.

Now, that's a good idea! I was looking into getting plain visors without the mirrors and inserting a metal sheet inside. I was planning on bending the sheet to make a curve, but I would then have to get them recovered. It would add weight to them and they would have (even more) trouble staying up.

I think I'll look into this..

Yeah, that idea makes total sense.

With the windshield raked back farther than a stock Mustang I can totally see the stock visors being an issue.

Hi! Sorry to be so long on a reply. Tooo Much Holiday. The set of visors that I used for this replacement, I had found them on EBAY. They came with all the hardware also. So if there was a mounting problem, I had backup stuff.

The idea with cutting visors sounds very reasonable. Idea Idea Idea Thanks for sharing!
