Anyone have bilstein shocks? I'm thinking that they can be a good solution for bumpy roads. Are these shocks too stiff or just fairly stiff? Need solid shocks that can still provide a comfy ride. |

Never used bilstein, But have used Monroe for years and for daily/weekend drivers have been happy with them. Alos have installed on ASC Coupe and ASC Mustang and the owners both liked the way they felt and rode. |

Actually, Monroe is my second option. How's the performance of this shock on bumpy roads? |

Most people likes the bilsteins for handling. Koni being better and more expensive. I have bilsteins on the back of my LX very. They were cheap and used. It does not ride as smooth as I would like but the old ones were shot. I believe there is more than 1 grade of bilsteins. _________________ Kevin Gold card MCA Judge for Fox Body

I ended up getting the bilstein because of the nice deal I got at 4wheelonline. These shocks are a bit stiff, though there's an improvement in handling. |

I'd recommend the Maximum Motorsports Bilstein Sport Kit and H&R Sport Springs. I have that setup along with a full set of Race Bilsteins with coilovers.
They are custom valved for MM and produces a great ride. I installed them on my 88 ASC with both H&R sport springs and MM coilover springs.
In short...do it all together for best results! |
