|
|
My door panels are both in poor shape with warping in the crap cardboard that the stuck behind the doors. I ran up to a shop today to inquire about having them rebuilt but they said it would be over the cost of buying a pair of aftermarket TMI panels that I was looking into.
My questions:
Does anyone have experience using TMI door panels? The carpet is slightly darker on the bottom but they have the "sand beige" color that I need
The TMI door panel for a 86 mustang convertible is different at the top - in that the capri McLaren mirror controls are covering the first 4.5" of the doop panel top - where the mustang apparently does not have this.
The SVO panel appears to be close, but only comes in black.
Has anyone had any luck getting replacements? if so, what?
Thanks! |

I replaced the cardboard backing on my 86 panels and it turned out OK, but the cardboard was about 1/4" too short on the front and rear sides compared to the originals. I do not have the ASC door panels, just the Mustang GT ones.. _________________ Dan

I decided to order the new ones. Since I was ordering aftermarket I decided to go with the coupe model - I like the embroidery on the door, here is what I went with:

when they come in, 6-8 weeks, I will take pics of the finished panel |
