Hey guys. Been a while. Has anybody ever see this episode of Motorweek?

Pay attention to the Coupe, specifically the wheels. Different style MSW's. I wonder if those were a consideration, but changed.

Thanks for posting that. I heard there was an episode of Motorweek with the McLaren but couldn't find it. Pretty neat to see.

I have an ASC/McLaren Pocket Sales Guide and it lists optional wheels of 16x7 with 225/45/16 BF Goodrich tires. I'm not sure when the guide was printed. Possible the wheels never made it into production.

Very cool.

I think asc was probably "gaming" MotorWeek with the wheels. They weren't even the same size front and back. They knew those wheels\tires would probably perform better and wanted that edge over a stock Capri so they could sell more units.

In my opinion, they were already in deep with their brochures of the Orange basket weaves and the Bridgestone Tire advertising campaign.

Hood scoops and radar in the glovebox door on an 86?

“ASC expects to build 1000 coupes and 750 convertibles for the 1986 model year” LOL!

Great video
