What color is a 1985 50SC Front End Grill I know it is not black? LMR sell an SVO gray but not sure if this is correct either. Thanks

On my 1986 Capri ASC Vert I used a Krylon Short Cuts Flat Black Part Number KSCS056 SCS-056 Remove your grill and headlight buckets (Trim) Clean with soap ans water , Dry and then use a tack cloth A couple of coats will make it look factory

Black isn't the correct color. And definitely not flat. For 85/86 the only black trim on cars was for small things like the wipers and radio antenna. The hood to windhsield cowl was also a satin black.

You want "charcoal grey". I am not sure about SVO grey. I think it used to be not right but have no idea anymore.

Here is the correct NOS part. You can tell it is a satin grey.

This is the metal piece that goes on the plastic grill.

My 86 ASC has a black grill with a black insert when I purchased it It was faded a little but was black as a new car. The headlight buckets where a black matted...But my 1986 Capri RS hardtop has the gray grill and the headlight buckets are a gloss black. Different then my ASC Vert. Sandy had made a comment in the Automobile Magizine Oct 1992 that ASC had used different color grills (even red) on some cars. See page 72 it state flat black pieces. My is flat black

OK, my bad. Didn't know asc painted the grills too. Verts aren't my forte, it appears.
