How bad are they?

My NOS ones from Hank were cracked on the corners. I asked him about it and he said they were pretty much all like that.

Now the repros hank sold me later seem to be a tad bit on the sturdier side and were not cracked at all.

Did the ones this guy sold have chunks out of them?

yeah i know what you mean mike the set that i have on my car right now has verry small hair line cracks in the corners kinda looks like glass when it spiders. thease covers have like 1-2 inche CRACKS in the corner with about a half inch gap... they can be glued together but they will still show the crack.

does anyone want a good pair of driving headlight covers? i already have a pair that has a stone chip in them...

Get some super glue GEL. If you use a small amount and I bet they could be glued together and not show too bad. That super glue Gel I find is good for sharp breaks.

The guy said that there were some cracks in there...too bad they are so long. As long as pieces aren't missing I think they could be fixed as a set of drivers.

Also, carefully drill a 1/32" or smaller at the end of the crack to stop it.

I think the headlight covers are the one thing I'm not to interested in purchasing, to easy to break for the price and I plan on driving my car, maybe someday.

For the price why can't they make them out of a better material?

I think he has. The repros are better.

The OLD original ones are very crack prone it seems.
