How refreshing to see one that is NOT RED !!
This car almost looks TOO good! Certainly the best 1985 'Vert, I have seen in a long long time! Some things that amazed me:
1) The door courtesy lights still have their plastic lens covering the bulbs
2) The door have their large pull straps.
3) The 5.0SC plaque is STILL in the grille.
4) The bumper-body-bumper strip is still on & in tact.
5) The roof looks to be very good, the rear windows are not deep yellow.
6) The SC 5.0 emblem is correctly on the right rear deck lid.
7) Nobody has added an incorrect ascMcLaren emblem to the LEFT side trunk lid
8 Wheels look great
All in all this is a car that I would buy! 'Ya, it's THAT good.
I have one little point, that I could be wrong on, maybe not, I am not sure.
The area (cove) just above the rear bumper, that houses the taillamps & license plate frame.... I think (??) that area is supposed to be flat black, (like the grille bars.) I don't recall ever seeing this area body color painted. It looks weird with the taillamps covers. I gotta go look at my brochures.....If wrong, I'd have it painted. If correct, I'd leave it alone.
THIS IS A CAR TO BUY, if anyone is interested in it. Best 1985 example I've seen in a long, long time!
He is wrong on his production number, however! 150 were made, not 250.
If memory is correct it's 100 in Muscat Red, 25 in Jet Black & 25 in Keweenau White. All Red & Black cars had Sand Beige Interior & Tan Tops, and the 25 White cars had Regatta Blue Interiors & Dark Blue Tops.
I think asc50 is among us, Yes ?? _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.

No, I think it just looks funny to you because it is a white car and the smoked tailight covers (which probably were dealer installed) contrast so sharply with it.
The brochure does not show the red car with it:

Besides, the color would have been "charcoal grey" right? and not "flat black" to match the grill...that is if you are correct.

Yes, that charcoal grey color that they used. That brochure cover car looks to me like it has NO covers on it. I cannot see screw heads and there is nothing tinted dark(er). _________________ Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
